TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following is an overview of the Terms and Conditions which are reviewed regularly. Once a booking has been accepted, an up-to-date copy will be sent to you.
The Terms and Conditions are very important and should be read carefully. They are to help guests understand the conditions applicable to the rental of Treasure Trove.
Bookings and Reservations
An initial reservation may be made by telephone or E-mail and will be held for seven days pending the return of the completed booking form and reservation deposit. A reservation is not considered a firm booking until the appropriate deposit and booking form have been received and the terms and conditions accepted.
The signing of the Booking Form, by the party leader, confirms acceptance of the terms and conditions and shall be binding on the person(s) booking and intending to occupy Treasure Trove Villa.
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the full rental payment is required at the time of reservation. However, if the booking is made within 90 days, then the full rental payment is due, plus security deposit
Balance
The balance due must be received no later than 90 days prior to arrival at Treasure Trove, together with the Security Deposit.
Security Deposit
A security deposit (currently £350 or $500) is required with the final payment as a safeguard against any loss or damage which may occur during your stay, however caused. We reserve the right to retain the security deposit (either in part or in full) to cover breakages, damage or missing items. Receipts for repairs/replacements will be provided in the unlikely event that such retention of the security deposit is required. We also reserve the right to pursue a quest for recompense for any and all damages caused, which may exceed the value of the security deposit, within 14 days of being served notice of same.
The villa's inventory is checked prior to your arrival and after your departure and we will advise you of any faults. These may include additional cleaning costs for spills, stains etc. The Party Leader is held responsible for any damage or breakages that may be caused to the property or its contents and also for all items in the inventory during your stay. Any breakages or damage must be reported to the management Company as soon as possible and before you vacate the property. At no time should any of the inventory items be removed from the villa (with the exception of the child Stroller, if requested).
Changes
Any changes to your booking must be requested in writing, and will be accommodated wherever possible. A small administrative charge may be required.
Cancellation
You must inform us in writing of any cancellation. If cancelled within 60 - 90 days of the booking, 50% of the rental is payable, between 60 – 45 days 70% of the rental is payable and 45 days or less 100% of the rental is payable. In any event, the deposit is non- refundable.
In the unlikely event that the owners, due to circumstances beyond their control, have to cancel the booking, the lead guest will receive a complete refund of all monies paid by them to the owners. However, the owners, will not be liable for any other loss incurred by the clients.
Insurance
We strongly recommend that you ensure you have adequate Travel Insurance for the duration of your stay, to cover eventualities such as cancellation, accident, sickness and damage.
Force Majeure
We, the owners, or our agents or representative do not accept any responsibility or liability occasioned by strikes, riots, political unrest, hostilities, war or threat of war, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, fire flood, technical weather problems to transport, aircraft grounding, closure of airports or ports, weather conditions, or any other event beyond our control. This includes any unforeseen eventualities arising at the villa during your stay which may cause any disruption.
Liability
We, the owners, or our agents or representatives do not accept any responsibility or liability whatsoever for death, personal injury, accidents, loss or damage to persons or personal effects however caused whilst at our property. It is the responsibility of the adult members of the party to ensure that children are always properly supervised when in the pool, hot tub/spa and deck area.
Swimming Pool
The property has a swimming pool and a hot tub/spa and the owners or their agents or representatives do not accept responsibility in the event of injury or death caused as a result of the use of the pool. All children must be supervised at all times. Also caution must be taken around wet areas.
If pool heating is required, this should be requested at the time of booking and shown on the booking form. There is an additional charge for this and it must be paid with the final balance. If pool heating is requested and paid for, we as owners cannot guarantee the temperature of the pool water, as this is dependent on many different factors, not least of which are; the proper use of the pool cover and the prevailing weather conditions at the time of your visit.
Occupation
The person making the booking must be a member of the party or group and must be at least 21 years of age. Only those people listed on the reservation form are permitted to stay at the property and the age of any person under the age of 21 years must be noted on the form. The accommodation is as stated and illustrated on this web site and all our information literature and can be subject to change without notice.
For the comfort of guests, the villa is a non-smoking home, however smoking is permitted on the patio/lanai area. Please use the ashtrays provided.
Pests and Pest Control
Florida has a sub-tropical climate and care must be taken with food that is left uncovered. Apart from spoiling and contaminating areas, it can attract insects very quickly. Any costs incurred for additional pest control and/or cleaning may be passed on to you. To reduce the risk please ensure that all food and crumbs are not left on worktops, tables, floors, or in the pool area and that all spills are cleaned up immediately.
Villa Security
The villa is protected by an ADT security alarm system and a unique security alarm code will be given to every guest. It is the guests' responsibility to ensure that whenever the premises are vacated all doors and windows are closed and locked and the alarm system is armed. As an additional safety feature every door leading to the pool area is protected by a pool alarm. This is required by Florida law and they must not be tampered with or disarmed, anyone doing so risks extremely serious charges.
Arrival and Departure
The property is available for occupation from 4 pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.30 am on the day of departure, unless other arrangements have been made with the owner.
Complaints or Dissatisfaction
In the unlikely event of a complaint during your stay please contact the Management Service immediately. If the matter cannot be resolved you should contact the owner, in writing, within 14 days of the end of the rental period. If the problem has not been reported, as requested, to the Management Service, the owner cannot accept any responsibility.
Despite all the above, our aim is to enable you, as our guests, to have an absolutely wonderful holiday experience in our beautiful holiday home. So if you have any problems, please contact our Management Service immediately, and let us know so that if it is not sorted out at the time then we can resolve it for the future; because we would like you to enjoy your stay so much that you will want to come back, time and time again, and feel that you can safely recommend us to your friends.
