FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What can I expect at Treasure Trove?

Treasure Trove is a stunning two storey detached Villa with 4,200sq.ft. of indoor living space.  It has its own private south facing oversized pool  and a hydrotherapy hot tub/spa and was built in 2005.

Because we intended to use the villa as often as possible we selected a host of upgrades to provide those touches of luxury which we enjoy.  Plus it is beautifully furnished with top quality furnishings.  It is fully equipped so guests just need to arrive with their own personal items and purchase food at the many nearby supermarkets, if catering at the villa.

After each guests visit, the Villa is thoroughly cleaned and inspected by our Management Service as we ensure that Treasure Trove is maintained in peak condition at all times, thus we accept the additional costs involved if your stay is more than seven nights.

How many people can stay at Treasure Trove?

The villa is equipped to accommodate 12 people comfortably, however I seek bookings of 10 or less people as I prefer to provide comfort and luxury that enables my home to be extra special.  There are 5 bedrooms, 3 with Master Suites, two of which have King Beds (one with a magnificent four-poster bed) and a Queen bedroom, plus 2 Twin bedrooms.  The Dining areas are equipped with seating for 14 people formally, plus the Terrace/Lanai can be used to dine al-fresco or a quick snack can be had at the bar table in the kitchen area.  There are 3 seating areas: The Formal Lounge, Family Room and Den, all luxuriously furnished with a range of comfortable sofas and chairs.

How close is Treasure Trove to Disney?

Obviously this depends on which route is taken and which of the Disney Parks visited.  But the nearest Disney Entrance gate is about 10 minutes (6 miles) drive from Treasure Trove and slightly more to other main attractions; 15 minutes from Sea World, 20 minutes from Universal Studios and 20 minutes from Wet 'n' Wild.

What other attractions, activities and services are nearby?

Treasure Trove is ideally placed on the prestigious  Windwood Bay development, a sought after community with a mix of rental and residential properties.  The development is located in a beautiful natural setting, surrounded by a conservation area and wetlands, ideal for those short walks to make the most of a nature trail around a lake.  The world renowned Champions Gate Resort is only 2 minutes away, offering world class golf courses, designed by Greg Norman and the David Leadbetter Gold Academy.  There is also a very convenient range of shops and restaurants at the local Plaza at Champions Gate, plus Ovation a new shopping area opened in 2008.

The glorious beaches of St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Sarasota are just 75 minutes away to the West and Kennedy Space Centre, Daytona and Cocoa Beach slightly less  distance to the East.

When should I ask for pool heating?

Pool heating is recommended during the period - October to April.  If required outside that period, a charge may be made.    Once pool heat is preset to the desired temperature for the property it cannot be adjusted.

Please note that, in extreme weather conditions (below 55F) the electrically heated pool will not operate. While we take every precaution to ensure that pools are heated as specified, weather conditions may (rarely) affect the temperature of the pool.

The pool has a solar pool blanket and reel and we request that guests use this not only to conserve energy but to increase the pool temperatures for your own comfort.  At night it can be much cooler and if the pool blanket is not used, the pool will take time to heat up during the day.

What services are provided?

Treasure Trove is rented to guests on a "self-catering" basis. The property is cleaned after the departure of every guest party, and inspected prior to each guests arrival. For your convenience and hygiene, the villa is provided with a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, mop, brush and pan for maintaining the property's cleanliness during your stay. In addition, the villa is treated regularly for insects, the pool and hot tub is regularly cleaned and treated for optimum freshness and the gardens maintained.
